Description2-[(3-{[4,5-Dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)-3-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]oxy}-5-hydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4-oxo-4H-chromen-7-yl)oxy]-4,5-dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-3-yl 3-(4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-7-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C7-position. 2-[(3-{[4,5-dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)-3-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]oxy}-5-hydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4-oxochromen-7-yl)oxy]-4,5-dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-3-yl 3-(4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate is found in Brassica napus. 2-[(3-{[4,5-Dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)-3-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]oxy}-5-hydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4-oxo-4H-chromen-7-yl)oxy]-4,5-dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-3-yl 3-(4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
