These are prenol lipids containing a carbohydrate moiety glycosidically bound to a terpene backbone. 2-({2-[3-ethenyl-5-(methoxycarbonyl)-2-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-3,4-dihydro-2h-pyran-4-yl]ethyl}amino)-3-phenylpropanoic acid is found in Lonicera japonica. 2-({2-[3-Ethenyl-5-(methoxycarbonyl)-2-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyran-4-yl]ethyl}amino)-3-phenylpropanoic acid is a very strong basic compound (based on its pKa).
