| Description | 4-{2-[(1R,4R,6aS,7R,8S,10aS,10bS)-1,4,10b-trihydroxy-7,8-dimethyl-decahydro-1H-naphtho[4,4a-c]furan-7-yl]ethyl}-2,5-dihydrofuran-2-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as naphthofurans. Naphthofurans are compounds containing a furan ring fused to a naphthalene moiety. Furan is a 5 membered- ring aromatic ring with four carbon and one oxygen atoms. Naphthalene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon made up of two fused benzene rings. 4-{2-[(1r,3as,4r,6as,7r,8s,10as)-1,3a,4-trihydroxy-7,8-dimethyl-octahydro-1h-naphtho[1,8a-c]furan-7-yl]ethyl}-5h-furan-2-one is found in Gutierrezia texana. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 4-{2-[(1R,4R,6aS,7R,8S,10aS,10bS)-1,4,10b-trihydroxy-7,8-dimethyl-decahydro-1H-naphtho[4,4a-c]furan-7-yl]ethyl}-2,5-dihydrofuran-2-one. |
