| Description | 2Alpha,9,10beta,13alpha-Tetraacetoxy-3,8-secotaxa-3,8,11-triene-5alpha,7beta,20-triol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as taxanes and derivatives. These are diterpenoids with a structure based either on the taxane skeleton, or a derivative thereof. In term of phytochemistry, several derivatives of the taxane skeleton exist: 2(3->20)-Abeotaxane, 3,11-cyclotaxane, 11(15->1),11(10->9)-abeotaxane, 3,8-seco-taxane, and 11(15->1)-abeotaxane, among others. More complex skeletons have been found recently, which include the taxane-derived [3.3.3] Propellane ring system. (1r,2s,3e,5s,7s,8z,10r,13s)-2,9,10-tris(acetyloxy)-5,7-dihydroxy-4-(hydroxymethyl)-8,12,15,15-tetramethylbicyclo[9.3.1]pentadeca-3,8,11-trien-13-yl acetate is found in Taxus mairei and Taxus sumatrana. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 2alpha,9,10beta,13alpha-Tetraacetoxy-3,8-secotaxa-3,8,11-triene-5alpha,7beta,20-triol. |
