Description1,3A-dihydroxy-6-(3-oxoprop-1-en-2-yl)-hexahydro-1H-cyclopenta[c]furan-4-yl 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as coumaric acid esters. These are aromatic compounds containing an ester derivative of coumaric acid. 1,3a-dihydroxy-6-(3-oxoprop-1-en-2-yl)-hexahydrocyclopenta[c]furan-4-yl 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate is found in Viburnum luzonicum. 1,3A-dihydroxy-6-(3-oxoprop-1-en-2-yl)-hexahydro-1H-cyclopenta[c]furan-4-yl 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
