Description8(R)-HETE, also known as 8R-HETE, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acids. These are eicosanoic acids with an attached hydroxyl group and four CC double bonds. Thus, 8(R)-hete is considered to be an eicosanoid. 8(r)-hete is found in Gersemia fruticosa. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 8(R)-HETE.
