Cardenolide glycosides and derivatives are compounds containing a carbohydrate glycosidically bound to the cardenolide moiety. 4-[(1r,3ar,3bs,5ar,7s,9as,9br,11ar)-7-{[(2r,3s,4r,5s,6s)-3,5-dihydroxy-4-methoxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}-3a,3b-dihydroxy-9a,11a-dimethyl-dodecahydro-1h-cyclopenta[a]phenanthren-1-yl]-5h-furan-2-one is found in Cerbera odollam. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 4-[(1R,2S,5S,7R,10S,11R,14R,15R)-5-{[(2R,3S,4R,5S,6S)-3,5-dihydroxy-4-methoxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}-10,11-dihydroxy-2,15-dimethyltetracyclo[8.7.0.0²,⁷.0¹¹,¹⁵]Heptadecan-14-yl]-2,5-dihydrofuran-2-one. |
