These are erythrina alkaloids possessing either a 6-5-6-6-membered indoloisoquinoline core or a derivative thereof. 12-hydroxy-7,8,11-trimethoxy-1h,2h,10h,11h,12h-indolo[7a,1-a]isoquinoline-4,5-dione is found in Erythrina subumbrans. 15-Hydroxy-4,5,16-trimethoxy-10-azatetracyclo[8.7.0.0¹,¹³.0²,⁷]Heptadeca-2,4,6,13-tetraene-8,9-dione is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
