Description4,5,8-Trihydroxy-2-(hydroxymethyl)-6-methoxy-3-(2-oxopropyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalen-1-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as tetralins. These are polycyclic aromatic compounds containing a tetralin moiety, which consists of a benzene fused to a cyclohexane. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 4,5,8-trihydroxy-2-(hydroxymethyl)-6-methoxy-3-(2-oxopropyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalen-1-one.
