| Description | (1S,3aR,4S,6aR)-1,4-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-hexahydrofuro[3,4-c]furan-3a,6a-diol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as furanoid lignans. These are lignans with a structure that contains either a tetrahydrofuran ring, a furan ring, or a furofuan ring system, that arises from the joining of the two phenylpropanoid units. (1s,3ar,4s,6ar)-1,4-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-tetrahydrofuro[3,4-c]furan-3a,6a-diol is found in Prinsepia utilis, Schisandra lancifolia and Valeriana prionophylla. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1S,3aR,4S,6aR)-1,4-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-hexahydrofuro[3,4-c]furan-3a,6a-diol. |
