DescriptionInonotsutriol D belongs to the class of organic compounds known as triterpenoids. These are terpene molecules containing six isoprene units. (3r,5r,6s)-6-[(1r,3ar,5ar,7s,9as,11ar)-7-hydroxy-3a,6,6,9a,11a-pentamethyl-1h,2h,3h,4h,5h,5ah,7h,8h,9h,10h,11h-cyclopenta[a]phenanthren-1-yl]-2-methylhept-1-ene-3,5-diol is found in Inonotus obliquus. It was first documented in 1994 (PMID: 36044657). Based on a literature review a significant number of articles have been published on Inonotsutriol D (PMID: 36045005) (PMID: 36045004) (PMID: 36045003) (PMID: 36045002).
