Common Name5-bromo-1-[(1s)-2-methanesulfinyl-1-(methylamino)ethyl]-9h-pyrido[3,4-b]indol-6-ol
DescriptionEudistomidin J belongs to the class of organic compounds known as harmala alkaloids. Harmala alkaloids are compounds with a structure based on harmaline, harmine, harmalol, harman or a derivative of those parents. These parents are beta-carbolines, consisting of a pyrimidine fused to the pyrrole moiety of an indole to form a pyrido[3,4-b]indole. 5-bromo-1-[(1s)-2-methanesulfinyl-1-(methylamino)ethyl]-9h-pyrido[3,4-b]indol-6-ol was first documented in 2011 (PMID: 21684745). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Eudistomidin J.
