Hydroxyanthraquinones are compounds containing a hydroxyanthraquinone moiety, which consists of an anthracene bearing a quinone, and hydroxyl group. 1,3,6-Trihydroxy-2-methylanthraquinone 3-O-(6'-O-acetyl)-alpha-L-rhamnosyl-(1->2)-beta-D-glucoside is found in Rubia akane, Rubia cordifolia, Rubia wallichiana and Rubia yunnanensis. {6-[(4,7-Dihydroxy-3-methyl-9,10-dioxo-9,10-dihydroanthracen-2-yl)oxy]-3,4-dihydroxy-5-[(3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl)oxy]oxan-2-yl}methyl acetate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
