DescriptionCatechin 3-o-alpha-l-rhamnoside belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-3-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C3-position. Catechin 3-rhamnoside is found in Carallia brachiata, Cistus incanus, Excoecaria agallocha, Koompassia malaccensis, Osyris alba, Quercus glauca, Quercus miyagii and Rhizophora stylosa. Catechin 3-rhamnoside was first documented in 2012 (PMID: 22587796). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Catechin 3-o-alpha-l-rhamnoside.
