| Description | Desmanthin 1 belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-3-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C3-position. Thus, desmanthin 1 is considered to be a flavonoid. 2''-O-Galloylmyricitrin is found in Desmanthus illinoensis, Diospyros glaucifolia, Eugenia myrcianthes, Inga laurina, Limonium sinense, Melaleuca quinquenervia, Morella rubra, Myrcia multiflora, Polygonum aviculare, Phedimus selskianus and Syzygium samarangense. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Desmanthin 1. |
