DescriptionFlavanthrin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as hydrophenanthrenes. These are a phenanthrene derivative where at least one ring CC bond is substituted by hydrogenation. Flavanthrin is found in Arundina graminifolia, Bletilla striata, Bulbophyllum reptans, Eria lasiopetala and Thunia alba. It was first documented in 2015 (PMID: 25686035).
