DescriptionAndrosterone sulfate, also known as andros-S, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as sulfated steroids. These are sterol lipids containing a sulfate group attached to the steroid skeleton. Androsterone sulfate is found in Homo sapiens. Androsterone sulfate was first documented in 1965 (PMID: 14328399). Androsterone sulfate is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral (PMID: 14573603) (PMID: 8380602) (PMID: 1254687).
