Description[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6R)-4,5-dihydroxy-2-[5-hydroxy-2-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxy-phenyl)-4-oxo-chromen-7-yl]oxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)tetrahydropyran-3-yl] hydrogen sulfate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-7-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C7-position. Thalassiolin B is found in Thalassia hemprichii and Thalassia testudinum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on [(2S,3R,4S,5S,6R)-4,5-dihydroxy-2-[5-hydroxy-2-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxy-phenyl)-4-oxo-chromen-7-yl]oxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)tetrahydropyran-3-yl] hydrogen sulfate.
