These are polycyclic compounds that is either a polyphenolic compound composed of two or more monocyclic aromatic units linked by an ester bond (depside), or a compound containing the depsidone structure (depsidone). Schomburgdepsidone A is found in Garcinia schomburgkiana. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 4,5,12,14-tetrahydroxy-6,7,15-tris(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)-2,9-dioxatricyclo[9.4.0.0³,⁸]Pentadeca-1(15),3(8),4,6,11,13-hexaen-10-one.
