These are steroids with a structure based on the ergostane skeleton, which arises from the methylation of cholestane at the 24-position. (-)-Luffasterol B is found in Luffariella sp. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1bS,4S,5aR,5bS)--[(1R,2S,3R)-3-[(2S,3E,5R)-5,6-dimethylhept-3-en-2-yl]-2-methyl-2-(2-oxoethyl)cyclopentyl]-1b-methyl--oxo-H,1bH,2H,3H,4H,5H,5bH-naphtho[1,8a-b]oxiren-4-yl acetate. |
