Description3-[(E)-1-Oxo-3,7-dimethyl-2,6-octadienyl]-4-hydroxybenzoic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as aromatic monoterpenoids. These are monoterpenoids containing at least one aromatic ring. 4-Hydroxy-(3',7'-dimethyl-1'-oxo-octa-2'-E-6'-dienyl)benzoic acid is found in Piper crassinervium. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 3-[(E)-1-Oxo-3,7-dimethyl-2,6-octadienyl]-4-hydroxybenzoic acid.
