DescriptionOrlandin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 7-hydroxycoumarins. These are coumarins that contain one or more hydroxyl groups attached to the C7 position the coumarin skeleton. Orlandin is found in Cladosporium herbarum IFB-E002 and Ficus benghalensis. Orlandin was first documented in 1979 (PMID: 447931). Orlandin is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
