These are lactones, which is structurally characterized by a benzene ring and a pyranone moiety, linked to each other to form a 4-methoxy-6-(2-phenylethyl)-2H-pyran-2-one skeleton. Achyrodimer E is found in Achyrocline bogotensis (HBK.) DC. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1R,6S,7R,8R)-5-methoxy-8-(4-methoxy-2-oxo-2H-pyran-6-yl)-7-(4-{[(2R,3R,4R,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}phenyl)-1-[(E)-2-(4-{[(2S,3R,4R,5S,6S)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}phenyl)ethenyl]-2-oxabicyclo[4.2.0]Oct-4-en-3-one.
