Xanthene is a tricyclic compound made up of two benzene rings linearly fused to each other through a pyran ring. Wubangziside A is found in Polygala caudata. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 7-{[(2S,3R,4R,5R,6R)-6-({[(2R,3R,4S)-3,4-dihydroxy-4-(hydroxymethyl)oxolan-2-yl]oxy}methyl)-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxan-2-yl]oxy}-1-hydroxy-9H-xanthen-9-one. |
