DescriptionHomoaerothionin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as isoxazolines. Isoxazolines are compounds containing a five-member unsaturated aliphatic ring, with an oxygen atom adjacent to a nitrogen atoms, and three carbon atoms. Homoaerothionin is found in Aplysina cavernicola, Aplysina fistularis, Aplysina gerardogreeni, Pseudoceratina durissima and Suberea mollis. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on homoaerothionin.
