DescriptionEichlerianic acid, also known as eichlerianate, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as diterpene glycosides. These are diterpenoids in which an isoprene unit is glycosylated. Eichlerianic acid is found in Aglaia elaeagnoidea, Aglaia elliptica, Aglaia foveolata, Aglaia lawii, Aglaia leucophylla, Aglaia perviridis, Aglaia rubiginosa, Cabralea canjerana, Cabralea eichleriana and Dysoxylum hainanense. Eichlerianic acid was first documented in 2016 (PMID: 25742723). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on eichlerianic acid.
