| Description | (1R,3R,3aS,6aS)-1,3-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-hexahydrofuro[3,4-c]furan-3a-ol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as lignan glycosides. These are aromatic polycyclic compounds containing a carbohydrate component glycosidically linked to a lignan moiety. They include 1-aryltetralin lactones. 1alpha-Hydroxy-2alpha,4alpha-guaicyl-3,7-dioxabicyclo[3.3.0]octane is found in Saussurea medusa and Saussurea medusa Maxim. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1R,3R,3aS,6aS)-1,3-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-hexahydrofuro[3,4-c]furan-3a-ol. |
