| Common Name | (-)-Lyconoside IV |
|---|
| Description | (25R,26R)-3beta-[(2-O-alpha-L-Rhamnopyranosyl-3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-beta-D-galactopyranosyl)oxy]-26-methoxyspirosta-5-ene-12beta-ol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as steroidal saponins. These are saponins in which the aglycone moiety is a steroid. The steroidal aglycone is usually a spirostane, furostane, spirosolane, solanidane, or curcubitacin derivative. (-)-Lyconoside IV is found in Solanum lycocarpum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (25R,26R)-3beta-[(2-O-alpha-L-Rhamnopyranosyl-3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-beta-D-galactopyranosyl)oxy]-26-methoxyspirosta-5-ene-12beta-ol. |
