| Description | (3AS,4R,6aS,8S,9aS,9bS)-3,6,9-trimethylidene-2-oxo-8-{[(2S,3S,4R,5R,6S)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-dodecahydroazuleno[4,5-b]furan-4-yl 2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)acetate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as guaianolides and derivatives. These are diterpene lactones with a structure characterized by the presence of a gamma-lactone fused to a guaiane, forming 3,6,9-trimethyl-azuleno[4,5-b]furan-2-one or a derivative. Ixerisoside A is found in Crepis tingitana Ball, Ixeris chinensis Nakai, Ixeris debilis A. Gray and Scorzoneroides muelleri (Sch.Bip.). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (3aS,4R,6aS,8S,9aS,9bS)-3,6,9-trimethylidene-2-oxo-8-{[(2S,3S,4R,5R,6S)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-dodecahydroazuleno[4,5-b]furan-4-yl 2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)acetate. |
