DescriptionXysmalogenin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as steroid lactones. These are sterol lipids containing a lactone moiety linked to the steroid skeleton. 5,6-Dehydrouzarigenin is found in Asclepias curassavica L. , Gomphocarpus sinaicus and Periploca sepium . 5,6-Dehydrouzarigenin was first documented in 2002 (PMID: 12918871). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on Xysmalogenin (PMID: 25193007) (PMID: 34451840) (PMID: 16902853).
