Fatty acyl glycosides of mono- and disaccharides are compounds composed of a mono- or disaccharide moiety linked to one hydroxyl group of a fatty alcohol or of a phosphorylated alcohol (phosphoprenols), a hydroxy fatty acid or to one carboxyl group of a fatty acid (ester linkage) or to an amino alcohol. (+)-Foliasalacioside B2 is found in Salacia chinensis and Salacia chinensis LINN. . Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (4R)-4-[(3R)-3-{[(2R,3R,4S,5S,6R)-6-({[(2R,3R,4S,5R)-3,4-dihydroxy-5-(hydroxymethyl)oxolan-2-yl]oxy}methyl)-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxan-2-yl]oxy}butyl]-3,5,5-trimethylcyclohex-2-en-1-one. |
