These are saponins in which the aglycone moiety is a steroid. The steroidal aglycone is usually a spirostane, furostane, spirosolane, solanidane, or curcubitacin derivative. (25S)-Kingianoside E is found in Polygonatum kingianum and Polygonatum kingianum COLL.et HEMSL. .
