These are sterol lipids containing a carbohydrate moiety glycosidically linked to the steroid skeleton. Veralosine is found in Veratrum album, Veratrum album L.var.subsp.lobelianum(Bernh.)Suessenguth. and Veratrum lobelianum . Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1R,2S,5R,10R,11R,13R,14R,15S)-2,15-dimethyl-14-[(1S)-1-[(5S)-5-methyl-3,4,5,6-tetrahydropyridin-2-yl]ethyl]-5-{[(2S,3S,4S,5S,6S)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}tetracyclo[8.7.0.0²,⁷.0¹¹,¹⁵]Heptadec-7-en-13-yl acetate. |
