These are polycyclic compounds containing a phenanthridine moiety, which is a tricyclic system with two benzene rings joined by a pyridine forming a non-linear skeleton. Hydrogenated derivatives are also included. N-Demethyloxysanguinarine is found in Aregemone mexicana and Argemone mexicana. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 5,7,18,20-tetraoxa-24-azahexacyclo[11.11.0.0²,¹⁰.0⁴,⁸.0¹⁴,²².0¹⁷,²¹]Tetracosa-1(24),2,4(8),9,11,13,15,17(21),22-nonaen-23-ol. |
