These are saponins in which the aglycone moiety is a steroid. The steroidal aglycone is usually a spirostane, furostane, spirosolane, solanidane, or curcubitacin derivative. Isorubijervosine is found in Veratrum album, Veratrum escholtzii and Veratrum lobelianum . Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (2R,3S,4S,5R,6R)-2-(hydroxymethyl)-6-{[(1S,2R,7S,10R,11S,14S,15R,16R,17R,20R,23S)-14-(hydroxymethyl)-10,16,20-trimethyl-22-azahexacyclo[12.10.0.0²,¹¹.0⁵,¹⁰.0¹⁵,²³.0¹⁷,²²]Tetracos-4-en-7-yl]oxy}oxane-3,4,5-triol. |
