Description(1R,4Z,6R,7R,11S,12S,17R)-4-ethylidene-7,12-dihydroxy-6,7-dimethyl-2,9-dioxa-14λ⁵-azatricyclo[9.5.1.0¹⁴,¹⁷]Heptadecane-3,8,14-trione belongs to the class of organic compounds known as pyrrolizidines. Pyrrolizidines are compounds containing a pyrrolizidine, which is a bicyclic ring system made up of two fused pyrrolidine ring sharing a nitrogen atom. Rosmarinine N-oxide is found in Senecio runcinatus and Werneria nubigena . Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1R,4Z,6R,7R,11S,12S,17R)-4-ethylidene-7,12-dihydroxy-6,7-dimethyl-2,9-dioxa-14λ⁵-azatricyclo[9.5.1.0¹⁴,¹⁷]Heptadecane-3,8,14-trione.
