DescriptionGuattegaumerine, also known as dauriciline, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as benzylisoquinolines. These are organic compounds containing an isoquinoline to which a benzyl group is attached. Guattegaumerine is a primary metabolite. Primary metabolites are metabolically or physiologically essential metabolites. They are directly involved in an organism’s growth, development or reproduction. (-)-N,N'-Dimethyllindoldhamine is found in Caryomene olivascens Barneby & Krukoff, Dehaasia hainanensis and Menispermum dauricum DC. . (-)-N,N'-Dimethyllindoldhamine was first documented in 2009 (PMID: 19015976). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on guattegaumerine (PMID: 34903659).
