These are cyclic esters of hydroxy carboxylic acids, containing a 1-oxacycloalkan-2-one structure, or analogues having unsaturation or heteroatoms replacing one or more carbon atoms of the ring. Cardionidine is found in Delphinium cardiopetalum and Delphinium verdunense. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1S,5R,8S,9S,10S,11S,14R,18R,19S)-10-hydroxy-5,7-dimethyl-12-methylidene-16-oxa-7-azahexacyclo[9.7.2.0¹,⁸.0⁵,¹⁸.0⁹,¹⁴.0¹⁴,¹⁹]Icosane-3,15,17-trione. |
