Indolyl carboxylic acids and derivatives are compounds containing a carboxylic acid chain (of at least 2 carbon atoms) linked to an indole ring. Tetrahydrosecodine is found in Aspidosperma excelsum, Aspidosperma marcgravianum, Rhazya sticta and Rhazya stricta. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on methyl (2R)-2-(3-{2-[(3S)-3-ethylpiperidin-1-yl]ethyl}-1H-indol-2-yl)propanoate.
