Description10-Hydroxyscandine belongs to the class of organic compounds known as melodinus alkaloids. These are alkaloids with a structure that is based on the melodinus skeleton. This backbone is a pentacyclic structure that contains a tetrahydroquinoline and an indolizine joined to each other through a cyclopentane. 10-Hydroxyscandine is found in Melodinus fusiformis, Melodinus hemsleyanus and Melodinus tenuicaudatus. 10-Hydroxyscandine was first documented in 2016 (PMID: 26186199). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 10-Hydroxyscandine.
