| Description | (5R)-3,8beta-Dimethyl-5alpha-isopropenyl-1,2,4,5,6,7,8,8aalpha-octahydroazulene-2-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as guaianes. These are sesquiterpenoids with a structure based on the guaiane skeleton. Guaiane is a bicyclic compound consisting of a decahydroazulene moiety, substituted with two methyl groups and a 1-methylethyl group at the 1-, 4-, and 7-position, respectively. 1beta,10betaH-Guaia-4,11-dien-3-one is found in Pleocarphus revolutus. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (5R)-3,8beta-Dimethyl-5alpha-isopropenyl-1,2,4,5,6,7,8,8aalpha-octahydroazulene-2-one. |
