Description(3S)-7-hydroxy-2',3',4',5',8-pentamethoxyisoflavan belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 8-o-methylated isoflavonoids. These are isoflavonoids with methoxy groups attached to the C8 atom of the isoflavonoid backbone. Isoflavonoids are natural products derived from 3-phenylchromen-4-one. Thus, (3S)-7-hydroxy-2',3',4',5',8-pentamethoxyisoflavan is considered to be a flavonoid. (3S)-7-Hydroxy-8,2',3',4',5'-pentamethoxyisoflavan is found in Eysenhardtia polystachya. (3S)-7-Hydroxy-8,2',3',4',5'-pentamethoxyisoflavan was first documented in 2015 (PMID: 25468946). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (3S)-7-hydroxy-2',3',4',5',8-pentamethoxyisoflavan.
