These are polyketides containing a tetracenequinone ring structure with a sugar attached by glycosidic linkage. Steffimycin C is found in Streptomyces elgrereus. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (8R,9R,10S)-1,8,11-trihydroxy-10-{[(2S,3S,4R,5R,6S)-4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}-3,9-dimethoxy-8-methyl-5,7,8,9,10,12-hexahydrotetracene-5,12-dione. |
