These are organic compounds containing either anthracene-9,10-quinone, 1,4-anthraquinone, or 1,2-anthraquinone. 1,4,5,8-Tetrahydroxy-2-methylanthraquinone is found in Asahinea chrysantha, Drechslera setariae, Drechslera spicifera, Curvularia geniculata, Curvularia lunata, Curvularia lunata NRRL 2380, Curvularia ramosa, Curvularia trifolii, Drechslera avenae, Drechslera dematioidea, Drechslera halodes, Drechslera sorokiniana, Maesopsis eminii, Pyrenochaeta terrestris, Pyrenophora chaetomioides, Rhamnus wightii and Setophoma terrestris. 1,4,5,8-Tetrahydroxy-2-methyl-9,10-dihydroanthracene-9,10-dione is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
