Description2-[(3Z,6Z,9Z,12S,14S)-12-hydroxy-14-[(2S)-2-hydroxyundecyl]-10-methyl-2-oxo-1-oxacyclotetradeca-3,6,9-trien-4-yl]acetic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as macrolides and analogues. These are organic compounds containing a lactone ring of at least twelve members. (+)-Aerocavin is found in Chromobacterium violaceum and Chromobacterium violaceum ATCC 53434. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 2-[(3Z,6Z,9Z,12S,14S)-12-hydroxy-14-[(2S)-2-hydroxyundecyl]-10-methyl-2-oxo-1-oxacyclotetradeca-3,6,9-trien-4-yl]acetic acid.
