Carbazoles are compounds containing a three ring system containing a pyrrole ring fused on either side to a benzene ring. Antiostatin A4 is found in Streptomyces cyaneus 2007-SV1. N-(1-heptyl-3-hydroxy-2-methyl-9H-carbazol-4-yl)ethanimidic acid is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
