Nudol is found in Agrostophyllum brevipes, Bletilla striata, Bulbophyllum vaginatum, Catasetum barbatum, Dendrobium nobile, Dendrobium rotundatum, Tamus communis , Dioscorea rotundata , Eria carinata, Eria stricta, Eulophia nuda , Maxillaria densa, Pinalia acervata, Pinalia spicata and Trichocentrum cebolleta. 3,4-Dimethoxyphenanthrene-2,7-diol is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
