DescriptionCochinchinenin A belongs to the class of organic compounds known as retro-dihydrochalcones. These are a form of normal dihydrochalcones that are structurally distinguished by the lack of oxygen functionalities at the C2'- and C6'-positions. Thus, cochinchinenin a is considered to be a flavonoid. 4'-Hydroxy-2,6-dimethoxydihydrochalcone is found in Dracaena cochinchinensis. 4'-Hydroxy-2,6-dimethoxydihydrochalcone was first documented in 2006 (PMID: 16856497). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on Cochinchinenin A (PMID: 23399763) (PMID: 18989646).
