These are diarylheptanoids with an open heptane chain. The two aromatic rings are linked only by the heptane chain. Crinatusin A2 is found in Cyathocalyx crinatus. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 5-methoxy-2,4-dimethyl-6-[(1R,6R)-3-(4-methylpent-3-en-1-yl)-6-phenylcyclohex-3-ene-1-carbonyl]benzene-1,3-diol.
