DescriptionIsogemichalcone b belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 3-prenylated chalcones. These are chalcones featuring a C5-isoprenoid unit at the 3-position. Thus, isogemichalcone b is considered to be a flavonoid. 3'-(4-Coumaroyloxy-3-methylbutyl-2(E)-enyl)-4,2',4'-trihydroxychalcone is found in Artocarpus dadah and Hypericum geminiflorum. 3'-(4-Coumaroyloxy-3-methylbutyl-2(E)-enyl)-4,2',4'-trihydroxychalcone was first documented in 2002 (PMID: 11858749). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Isogemichalcone b.
